Q1. Swanky Mag: Hello Carlota, Can you introduce yourself to Swanky Magazine's readers?

Hello! I am so happy about this interview and very excited to be able to share with all your audience a bit of my work, which I am so passionate about. Although modelling for me is a hobby at the moment, it takes up a lot of time in my life and has now become a part of me. For those who don't know me, I'm Carlota! From a very young age, I have started this path, which is bringing me more and more opportunities in this wonderful world.

Q2. How did you get into modelling, and what do you like about modelling?

If I'm honest, I don't know the exact moment when it all started. My mother is the one who has always helped and encouraged me. I started with a few photo sessions, then I signed up at a modelling agency, this is the moment when projects, castings and advertising appeared in my life.
As time passed, more and more photographers wanted me to be their model... Without even realizing it, I was already starting to meet so many professionals in this field, I started to have more portfolio and more work. Brands, make-up artists, photographers, designers wanted to work with me, they wanted me to convey their message to the public.

What do I like most about modelling? Well, as many will know, this world involves a lot of work behind a simple photo or parade. There are so many people putting all their effort to make everything go perfect. And after all, I am the final image of the project. That is the most beautiful thing, being able to reflect the work of so many people for an incredible project.

Q3. What is your main source of inspiration?
These days we have access to so much information and with a simple click, you can see hundreds of posts on Instagram or Pinterest and be able to extract everything you like the most about each model, designer, dress, makeup... See what other people from all countries around the world are creating is a wonder and inspires many people, including myself!
It is also true that I do not work alone, there is always a team to carry out a thousand projects. So each one has their vision in this regard and contributes their ideas so that something unique comes out. This is like a chain, when one of the team has an idea, a new idea comes up in turn.

Q4. What do you love most about your profession?
Meeting so many people. It is incredible how connecting with the people you work with results in amazing final work. From the talks in the castings with other girls, the advice of the make-up artists, the laughs with the designers, the enthusiasm with the photographers... You can’t imagine the incredible atmosphere that is created when wonderful people get together. That's what I like most, creating more and more memories thanks to my work.

Q5. In your daily routine, what do you like to learn new things about in the fashion industry?
Well, the most beautiful thing is when I learn things without even realizing it. Every day I learn something new and I love that. But something I really enjoy informing myself about is the history of fashion. It is something incredibly exciting since it is our past and without it, we would not have what we have today. The trace of the past is more present than many think and it is so nice to see that thanks to the struggle of people like Gabrielle Chanel, today’s fashion is more equal and stronger than ever.

Q6. What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?
These weeks I am working hard to prepare for a beauty pageant that will take place on August 25th. I am very happy to be part of this beautiful contest, Miss Arad 2021. This contest is taking place in my mother’s city of origin Arad, Romania. It is being a unique experience that I am sharing with some lovely colleagues.
On the other hand, my preparation continues for Miss Europe Continental 2021. More than 50 contestants are looking forward to April coming so we can finally meet and share the grand finale together!
The truth is that I do not want to do many more "spoilers"... You can all be up to date with everything I am creating on my Instagram, where I will be sharing more and more content. Without a doubt I am organizing many very interesting projects that I am looking forward to sharing with all of you, so… stay up to date on my social networks to see everything I have prepared! See you on Instagram!
