Swanky Mag: Hello Corel, Can you introduce yourself to Swanky Magazine's readers?
Hello! I'm really excited to be doing this piece with you and sharing this experience and journey I'm on! I'm 21 years old and currently studying at Northumbria University doing Fine-Art to then progress into the Met Police as a homicide detective.
How did you get involved with modeling/Miss England competitions, and what do you love most about it?
I was first scouted last Year by a small independent fashion company while shopping in their store looking for evening outfits for the weekend, my journey started there really, I then went on to do different fashion shoots and also modeling for wedding boutiques in London. things just progressed from there to where I'm now. I first entered Miss. England at the end of last year. but didn't make it past the first Heat, I was then contacted in the summertime of this year, and was asked if I'd come back as the wild card finalist for the semi-Finals, I was then selected to be one of the 15 out of 40 that were there.
What fuels your imagination and provides you with inspiration?
I'm very driven to be able to see a difference in my life every year, I like to think of ' a year ago today and compare the things I've accomplished and added to my life. I'm very aware of how fast time goes and how often we can all let things just pass us by without grabbing all opportunities given to us. I love to see change and progress in my life every week. I'd hate to think I didn't do everything in my power to be better and give more!
Let us into a secret, What is a beauty/fashion trick/hack you do before a photo shoot or show?
I think even after doing hundreds of shows or shoots, you can still get nervous sometimes. i love to just put some music on and have an iced chai tea latte with coconut milk, it just calms me down and makes me feel much more relaxed. I struggle with dark circles under my eyes sometimes so I also use a frozen eye mask before putting my makeup on to cooly skin! I feel it helps so much.
Who are your biggest influences, and why?
I'm very grateful that my parents are very driven people, they always strived to do more, have more, and genuinely be more. that's probably where I got my drive from. they are always supporting me in my decisions. they have definitely influenced me to be who I'm today and have such a drive for success in all aspects of my work and personal life.
Are you signed to any agencies or are looking to be signed?
I'm not currently signed to anyone and just working freelance!
What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?
I’m currently doing charity work to raise funds for 'beauty with a purpose and also 'WASUP', this has been my main concentration for a while now and it’s brilliant, I've really enjoyed being able to give my time to something so worthy! my goals would definitely be to the Next Miss. England and Next Miss.World.
