Designer, actor, and entrepreneur, Malan Breton, debuted his Autumn Winter 2023-24 collection "Fantôme" at New York Fashion Week. Also known for being a contestant on Project Runway, Breton is making an impact in the fashion world with his innovative and beautiful creations.
"Fantôme" showcased a mix of themes that included conscience, hope, night, day, and human desire. The music by Efisio Cross added to the atmosphere of the show. The opening look was a structured, pink fur-trimmed coat paired with a white button-down and embellished white pants. Leather dresses with high slits and leather trench coats were all paired with thigh-high boots, while structured brocade jackets with bowties balanced masculinity and femininity.
Breton also incorporated larger, over-the-top elements, such as a mini dress with a sheer bodice and large tulle bell sleeves, as well as a maroon leather skirt and jacket with exaggerated shoulders that winged out. All the while old-fashioned-inspired ties, feathered capes and jackets, and grand ballgowns brought elements of old-world charm to the collection.
