The winners of the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards were announced last night in a ceremony hosted by David Tennant at The Royal Festival Hall in London and broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer. The EE BAFTAs celebrate the very best in film of the past year.

Tonight, nominees and guest presenters will celebrate another tremendous year for film at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards. David Tennant returns as host and the ceremony will be broadcast on Sunday 16 February 2025 at 7:00pm on BBC One and iPlayer. 

Ahead of the ceremony, audiences can tune into Clara Amfo and Alex Zane live from the iconic red carpet on BAFTA’s YouTube channel and Ash Holmes and Jack Remmington will be reporting exclusively on BAFTA’s digital channels, giving audiences access to all the arrivals #EEBAFTAs.

Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline.
