My name is Olivia and I am 10yrs old on the 24th of April, I organised my own fashion show fundraiser which I called Pose for POTS. Last year I started to feel unwell and after lots of tests, hospital visits, and days of me feeling unwell we finally got some answers.  I was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome a condition that affects the autonomic nervous system. Sometimes it can be pretty touchy but luckily for me at the moment I’m doing ok. Once I started to feel a bit better I decided to try and raise awareness of the condition I started small and made leaflets for my class friends and teachers, I also did a walk to raise funds then I got the opportunity to do the fundraiser I wanted to combine my love for fashion and raising awareness for POTS into one event. 

I had a great designer Liliana who worked really hard and brought so much colour and fun to the runway, she brought 2 collections indigenous and flowers the models all gave up their time to come and support my event. We got sponsors from lots of local businesses and were able to create a great selection of prizes.  The night was amazing we raised $2700 for the Australian pots foundation and spread the word on POTS.
