PHOTOGRAPHER SPOTLIGHT | Amleto Pane from Latina (Italy)
We caught up with Amleto to ask him a little more about his incredible journey, and what he has been doing recently!
Q1.Swanky Mag: Hello Amleto, Can you introduce yourself to Swanky Magazine’s readers? Can you tell us a little about you?
I’m a professional portrait, landscape, fashion, glamour, and scene photographer, based in Latina (Italy). I love nature, and where I live (Latina, a small city of Lazio in Italy) where there are countless amazing natural reserves such as Circeo National Park and the Dune of Sabaudia, my favorite locations.
Q2.How and when did you get into photography?
My passion for photography started by admiring great photographer’s works, of which my favorites are: Helmut Newton, Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, and Henry Cartier-Bresson
Q3.What does photography mean to you?
Photography for me, as well as work, is above all passion
Q4.Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?
I’m a paid professional
Q5. What has been your most memorable session, and why?
All sessions are memorable for me
Q6. Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?
Canon and my favorite lenses are EF 24-70 f/2,8L II USM and EF 70-200 f/2,8L IS III USM
Q7. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
My advice to future photographers is: deepen their knowledge of photographic technique and rely on personal intuition when making a shot. Put your own mark even though it will never be sure of how it will be perceived. The possible vision of reality arises from the fusion of two moments far apart. One is the portrait subject, the other is the mood of the photographer.
Q11. What do you think of our new magazine?
I think it has beautiful typography which I love very much
