Berlin Fashion Week AW25: Day 1 Recap
Welcome to the AW25 edition of Berlin Fashion Week. Each day we will recap the day’s events, showcases, and runways. Berlin Fashion Week will keep its global audience updated across its social channels on the show and presentation schedule each day, along with our coverage daily here at Swanky Magazine.
German designers kicked off day one on the runway, as Kilian Kerner, Horror Vacui, Danny Reinke, Marina Hoermanseder, and Sia Arnika launched what will be several magnificent days in Berlin Fashion Week for the AW25 Season.
Berlin Fashion Week AW25: The Sia Arnika AW25 Collection
Sia Arnika’s Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection is a tribute to memory, allure, and wetness. It tells the story of the Harbor Bitch—a woman who exists on the edges of myth and menace. Tapping into a memory of a woman, a factory worker, from the island of Mors, the birthplace of Sia Anika, the Danish-born designer’s latest collection channels her fierce essence.
Berlin Fashion Week AW25: The Marina Hoermanseder AW25 Collection
The Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder invited to the show of her label at the Hotel Oderberger. The designer celebrated the label's 10th anniversary with almost 700 guests with 35 unique looks under the motto "Birthday Party" with balloons, flowers, cakes and streamers.
Berlin Fashion Week AW25: The Danny Reinke AW25 Collection
The Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection by prêt-à-couture designer Danny Reinke, titled "90 Seconds to Midnight" merges the dark narratives of Heinrich Hoffmann's Struwwelpeter with the metaphor of the Doomsday Clock. This symbolic clock, currently set at 90 seconds to midnight, serves as a warning to humanity about the threat of self-destruction.
Berlin Fashion Week AW25: The Horror Vacui AW25 Collection
HORROR VACUI, translating to 'fear of empty spaces' from Latin, encapsulates the brand's ethos - every piece is a canvas for intricate details and rich narratives. With the charm of Bavarian tradition, the signature scalloped edges, Froschgoscherl trims, and meticulous smockings are the heartbeats of Anna's creations, ensuring that every piece resonates with the depth of artisanal craftsmanship. A testament to Anna's dedication to filling life's voids with beauty, one garment at a time.
Berlin Fashion Week AW25: The Kilian Kerner AW25 Collection
In his Fall/Winter 2025/26 collection titled "Shitstorm", Kilian Kerner Berlin addresses a highly topical and socially relevant issue: hate and hostility on the internet. The designer's show is a powerful plea against this form of digital attack and its consequences, with the designs symbolizing responsibility, courage, and the ability to creatively reflect on societal challenges.
