Richert Beil AW25

Richert Beil’s Fall/Winter 2025/26 runway show “Mutter” uses the imagery of tired, overburdened mothers as a metaphor for a fatigued and overwhelmed society. It serves as a visual narrative to symbolize a society struggling under the weight of expectations, constant pressures, and the relentless pace of modern life. The collection delves into the invisible labor, emotional weight, and physical fatigue that many people carry daily while balancing societal, professional, and familial expectations. Richert Beil invites viewers to reflect on the emotional and psychological fatigue we carry as a collective, challenging us to rethink the structures we uphold and to prioritize authentic connection over the relentless pursuit of perfection. In terms of clothes, the collection features lightweight Italian luxury jerseys, cotton silk blends, and wool silk blends, chosen for their fluidity, refined texture, and ability to create a sense of freedom. In contrast, heavier materials such as latex, leather, and high-quality wool fabrics were incorporated, adding rich textures and structures. Garments with bold silhouettes and exaggerated shapes represent weight and presence. Overall, key runway looks combine soft, comfortable knitwear with rigid, oversized outerwear, balancing between protection and vulnerability while reflecting the tension between rest and responsibility.
