About SVEASØN

SVEASØN is the brainchild of designer Svea Beckedorf, blending vibrant artistry with sustainable fashion. The label embodies ethical practices, inclusivity, and self-expression, aiming to inspire a connected community. SVEASØN creates sculptures that transcend gender, language, and social class, promoting body positivity and uniqueness. Its fashion collections are based on these sculptures, offering reversible, adjustable garments that empower wearers to express themselves freely.

What non-fashion related sources or experiences have influenced your current collection?

My collection is influenced by Molybdomancy, an ancient divination practice using molten metals to create shapes that are later interpreted. This parallels my approach to sculpting and designing garments, allowing organic forms to emerge. Another inspiration is nature, particularly the landscapes and traditional crafts of my hometown Hamburg, such as wool production. This connects my designs to history, community, and the environment, making each piece a larger narrative that transcends fashion.

SVEASØN AW25

SVEASØN’s debut collection, “MØLYBDØMANCY”, explores modern spirituality, divination, and rituals that bridge individuality and community. Inspired by the ancient art of lead pouring, where molten shapes are interpreted, the collection reimagines values like empathy, equality, and freedom through a contemporary lens. The collection features inclusive and gender-neutral designs, celebrating personal empowerment and self-expression. Crafted from deadstock fabrics, GOTS-certified textiles as well as sustainable Thermore padding, the collection seamlessly blends artistry and sustainability. Tie-dye patterns are used to reflect the unpredictability of lead pouring, while vibrant tones and metallic accents evoke boldness. Oversized, layered silhouettes emphasize adjustability and reversibility, creating garments for all body types. Highlight looks include a reversible yellow padded jacket, skirt, and tartan dungarees. Reflective trousers and a jacket with adjustable details balance functionality and playfulness. A reversible faux fur and rainproof ensemble combines comfort and technical precision. Mesh layers and padded “sculpture feet” shoes add whimsical, narrative-driven details.
