About Alis
Created by two friends in the free-town of Christiania, Copenhagen in 1995, ALIS went from being a local voice to a national movement.
As a true pioneer of youth culture, skateboarding and streetwear the brand purposely maintained an air of mystery, committed to staying authentic and underground - built upon pillars of community and raw desire to create.
As life, ALIS has grown mature through ups and downs, and in 2025 is ready to embrace re-invented new direction. Through a successful collaboration with experienced business partners and a new creative direction lead by Tobias Birk Nielsen, ALIS is presented in a new light.
This new era is set off by honouring the rich cultural brand heritage, while simultaneously taking vast steps into a zeitgeist where social aspects and real craftsmanship are core value drivers bringing true original Copenhagen streetwear icon out of Denmark - and manifesting it on an international fashion scene.
Alis AW25
COMEBACK CULTURE
After appointing Tobias Birk Nielsen as the new creative lead, the Danish brand is reintroducing itself as an elevated force, blending its raw underground essence with a modern, sophisticated vision. Innovative craftsmanship will set the tone, marking a new visionary milestone, shared with the Copenhagen scene - one that has already given ALIS wings once before. The AW25 collection and runway show, titled “Comeback Culture,” will tell the story of an emotionally resilient journey, celebrating the power of transformation and renewal by bridging the past and future through the artefacts and personas of a new generation.
ALIS is created for individuals driven by the boundless energy of self-expression and creativity. At its core lies the belief that true artistry comes from a playful headspace, honest craftsmanship, and an authentic human touch - exactly as the brand always has been perceived.
The “Comeback Culture” collection programme is therefore made and composed through a sincere voice, showing that it’s real human hands working wholeheartedly on a comeback for something we once had close to our heart. The pieces are filled with big and small details, capturing the heart of ALIS’s ethos. These elements echo the values of togetherness and community, with a red thread symbolising the connections between generations - all made with the intention of seeing ALIS through new and modern eyes, forging a sense of unity and belonging.
Dyeing techniques take a centre stage in this collection, embodying the unrestrained energy of creativity and craftsmanship, echoing to the wild ALIS spirit and raw innovation, honouring the brand’s heritage while carving a path forward.
At ALIS, creativity is about connections - between past and present, heritage and modernity, individuality and community. We hope that our local as well as international surroundings will connect to this discourse as well as, just like ALIS, might find themselves in a “Comeback Culture” scenario, where putting in that extra effort and walking an extra mile ends up making sense - in order to bring something meaningful back to life.
