Reference Studios presents the third edition of Intervention part of Berlin Fashion Week with GmbH, LUEDER, Kasia Kucharska, Andrej Gronau, Levi's, UGG

Reference Studios introduces the 3rd edition of INTERVENTION — the format developed and curated by the Berlin, Milan & Paris-based Communications Agency under the artistic direction of Founder and CEO Mumi Haiati. Following the outstanding second edition in July 2024, the novel platform for national and international designers in Berlin returns with a new line-up of designers, brands and institutions.

Superseding the past two editions at the abandoned Neukölln department store, today named CANK, and the iconoclastic Tempodrom venue in Kreuzberg, the upcoming program of runway shows and cultural brand experiences will unfold at Kantgaragen — the historic former car park and architectural gem built in 1929 on Kantstraße in Charlottenburg, a cultural epicenter of West Berlin.

This year’s show roster will see Benjamin Huseby and Serhat Işik’s GmbH and Marie Lueder’s eponymous label LUEDER return to the format with the addition of trailblazing German designer Andrej Gronau and sustainable fashion pioneer Kasia Kucharska, who present their collections at Berlin Fashion Week for the first time. GmbH, LUEDER and Andrej Gronau are all winners of this season’s Berlin Contemporary Prize, awarded by The Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises / Projekt Zukunft. Kasia Kucharska is the winner of the FCG/Vogue Fashion Fund 2024, founded by Vogue Germany and the Fashion Council Germany.

Taking over four entire fl oors of the multi-story Kantgaragen, the 3rd Edition of INTERVENTION is a full day program of fashion shows, music, performance and experiences, all under one roof.

On the ground floor, Levi's® — epitomizing classic American style and eff ortless cool — presents a concert with an internationally recognised contemporary jazz musician and a product customisation lounge. Titled ‘Indigo Note’ the event and environment is inspired by the off -kilter, intuitive ‘Blue Note’ in jazz and blues music, with reference to denim dye.

Southern California-based global lifestyle brand UGG® takes over the 5th fl oor with a special installation designed to celebrate bringing communities together. The bespoke space, made from the iconic UGG® twin face, will act as the heart of the space between shows, reuniting guests for special performances and workshops.

This year’s highly anticipated four shows will be hosted across the remaining fl oors, completing the takeover of the historic Kantgaragen — an iconic piece of Bauhaus architecture that stands as a symbol of modernity in West Berlin as one of the fi rst multi-story car parks in the world. Reference Studios is proud to continue its mission of reclaiming and -purposing spaces for new formats at the intersection of fashion, art and design.

Beyond the main venue, Reference Times — the new olfactory platform launched October last year at Dover Street Parfums Market in Paris — presents a special installation at the agency’s P100 exhibition space in Schöneberg. Opening January 31st, the exhibition will be on view throughout the entirety of Berlin Fashion Week.

INTERVENTION is commissioned by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, as part of the offi cial Berlin Fashion Week calendar.
