TAIPEI FASHION WEEK SS25

Taipei Fashion Week SS25, which launched on October 17 at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, encapsulated Taiwan's vibrant spirit and ambition to stand boldly on the global stage. A country that privileges creative freedom, Taiwan’s Fashion Week was testament to the diverse and innovative creativity coming out of the country. The dynamic runway of their opening show featured collaborations between top fashion brands and illustrators, blending live art with fashion to create an immersive sensory experience.

Highlighting innovation and cross-disciplinary partnerships, Taipei Fashion Week reflects Taiwan's rich cultural narratives, street culture, and historical depth, fostering international dialogue through fashion. Embracing the ethos of “integrating global vision with local culture,” designers were paired with graphic artists to create collections that celebrate Taiwan as a hub of fashion innovation and youth culture. Here are five standout shows from the week:

DYCTEAM × Raimochi

At the intersection of functionality and warmth, DYCTEAM's collection revolves around the theme of "defining oneself." Drawing inspiration from everyday life, the brand employs practical materials and jacquard denim designs to craft a unique style. Meanwhile, Raimochi’s "No-Swear Boy" translates the vibrant energy of Taiwan’s streets into bold, resilient imagery, characterised by bright colours and a dynamic illustration style influenced by music.

Seivson

As a heartbeat resonates through the venue, mist envelops the stage, setting a surreal backdrop for Seivson’s SS25 show. Models showcase bare skin adorned with Seivson's logo scars, symbolising this season's theme of "Traces"—the imprints and stories every woman carries. The collection strips fashion back to its essence, featuring signature deconstructed tailoring that reimagines classic trench coats, alongside various pleating techniques in jackets and skirts. Layered with everyday pieces, the collection offers a rich interplay of dimension and texture.

Chow De Hommes

Creative Director Billy draws from the rebellious spirit of Generation Z and contemporary societal issues in his Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Titled "Invisible Victims," this collection delves into the often-overlooked aspects of modern society, questioning the unseen struggles behind celebrated ideals of freedom. The concept is intricately woven into the details of the garments, reflecting a poignant exploration of personal narratives hidden in plain sight.

Jenn Lee

The SS25 collection from JENN LEE is a testament to instinctive creativity, rooted in the belief that design requires no formula. Inspired by the spontaneity of childhood, the designer transforms crumpled paper into organic shapes and silhouettes, embodying a carefree youthful spirit. This unstructured approach breathes whimsical imagination into the collection, with unexpected geometric forms and playful strokes that evoke a sense of freedom and possibility.

#DAMUR X Weiweiboy

The #DAMUR SS25 collection challenges traditional gender norms and celebrates self-identity. Designer Huang Shishun draws from a childhood memory of being unable to wear a tutu in a ballet performance due to societal expectations. This experience ignited his passion for deconstructing gender stereotypes through fashion. The collection features a flowing, knee-length skirt reimagined from a traditional male tie and a solemn black jacket adorned with neon ruffles, striking a balance between strength and softness. Utilising large wave totems, asymmetrical designs, and multi-layered elements, the collection embodies the evolving landscape of genderless fashion.
